This page is a saga of bike that came back from the ashes. Del was a customer that sent me some photos for the gallery page. A few months later he sent some photos of a crash he had. He insisted that he would repair his fairing instead of replacing it. Then in August of 05 he sent some more photos of the recently painted SVR . We had several conversations about the custom led taillight he made and the graphics he designed. I asked if he would share this with all of you, and he agreed. At the bottom of this page you will find photos and schematics for the taillight. There are also graphics you can print out and take to your local sign shop to have cut out of vinyl. There is even a desktop background you can download. Del CallowayPart OneWhere It all began.
Here's some pictures. Not really awesome pictures, but some
none-the-less. When I take some better pictures, I forward them to you if you'd
like to replace the old ones. I also included the 15 second video walk-by. The
color of the bike Sunset Orange Metallic and is a GM factory color. I also
polished my swing arm and frame. On your site, no one else listed their
modifications, but here are mine if you care to list them:

Some Kind Of Polished Aluminum Footpegs Part TwoOH NO! Say it ain't so! I laid the Bike over the other day going about 40mph around an off ramp. No cracks or anything on the fairings! I'm impressed with the quality of how well they held up. Just wanted to pass the pics along to you. I "think" the fairing is repairable. I'm going to take it by the paint guy in a week or so to see. Just minor damage except where it almost wore a hole through close to the dash. Thanks for a quality product, I'll post something on the SV forums to show the quality of your stuff. Thanks! - Del
Ken Part threeThe Phoenix has risen.
Sorry for the HUGE delay in getting
you pics. The bike's been painted for 3 months now and just dawned on me that
I've slacked sending you pics. So here they are! The paint is a 2005 BMW
color called Stahlblau Metallic. Color didn't really come out as I expected.
I was expecting a bluish gray color, but instead got a purplish gray color.
Oh well, next time I pick paint I'll see it on a car instead of going from a
paint chip! =) I also included some pics of my homemade taillight.
New mods are:
2001 Suzuki Bandit 5.5" Rear Wheel
Conversion (custom spacers & 520 Vortex sprocket)
180/55 BT010 Tire Homemade Taillight -
75 red, 8000mcd for the running/brake light and 18 orange, 5000mcd LEDs for
signals...Motosliders (Frame & Swing arm) LP Real Carbon Fiber Mirrors.
How To's, Downloads and Stuff Only thing I can really say about the taillight is it's crazy bright! It has 75 red, 8000mcd LEDs for the running/brake light and 18 orange, 5000mcd LEDs for the signals.
Here is a peek at the wiring, and a downloadable schematic.
my old SV650R emblem I had when it was painted orange. If you want, you're welcome to use. You could just take the picture directly to a sign shop and get it cut out in whatever color combo and size they'd want. In my opinion, the "R" for my logo is all because I have your full fairings. Ya know, the SV650 is naked, SV650S is 1/4 fairing, so the SV650R is full fairing. :) Just an idea. - Del The first is the BMP, and the second is the EPS file.
Attached is a EPS & 2-color BMP of
the emblem. I can do about a 10meg-size high res of the BMP if you want to
host it, it's up to you though. When I cut mine out, I use the 2-color
BMP. But I'm using an older program and I'm use to using the BMP files.
I've heard the newer vinyl cutting program use the EPS files. You welcome
to use either or both.
I also attached my new computer background I made in Photoshop of the bike. Thought it came out pretty good. - Del A big Thank You, to Del Calloway for this great addition to the KGCycles.com web site, from Ken Glenn.
